Municipal taxes in Lake Country will increase by 3.5% this year - or about $76.00 more for the average homeowner.
1.5% of that increase will go to the Transportation for Tomorrow road infrastructure program, and 2% is a general tax increase.
The good news - the District says there are no increases in water, sewer or garbage/recycling fees for 2018.
The District's total operating budget for this year is $19.3 million with $12.2 million raised through property taxes, $2-million from parcel taxes and $5 million from fees and charges.
Total capital spending is pegged at $22.8 million with improvements to Glenmore Road, a new fire truck, a skate park, the Eldorado Treated Water Reservoir and the Okanagan Rail Trail as some of the top priorities.
