At approximately 5:30 pm the Kelowna Fire Department responded to a report of a person stuck on a cliff above the Kelowna Golf and Country Club.
The first arriving officer was met by golf course staff and shown to the location of the patient. The officer reported that a 15 year old male was stuck on a cliff approximately 50 feet up.
The young male had been out for a hike and got himself into a precarious location on unstable ground.
The Technical Rescue Team was deployed and were able to get the patient into a rescue harness and lower the patient and rescuer safely to flat ground. The patient was uninjured.
One Engine, The KFD Technical Rescue Team, a Safety Officer, a Command Unit and one BC ambulance including 12 fire personnel responded.
