Kelowna set a temperature record yesterday. It was the hottest March 20th since 1988.
We hit 16.3 C, up from the old record of 16.2 C.
While that doesn't seem like much of a difference, consider this. 16.3 C is now the hottest March 20th since records began being kept way back in 1899.
Environment Canada Meteorologist Matt MacDonald says, "We'll have more of a spring-like pattern on the weekend and into next week. Temperatures will be cooler with the odd shower and we could see some snow in the mountains, up on the ski hills and on the Connector. So, winter in the mountains is not completely done."
