You know Christmas is coming when the Salvation Army rolls out the donation kettles. From now to December 24th, they're hoping to raise at least 800 thousand dollars.
The Salvation Army's Daryl Burry says it's the same goal as last year when they not only met but exceeded the target.
Burry says, "One hundred percent of money raised goes directly into Salvation Army programs like supplimenary food bank, life skills training, grief support groups, everything the Salvation Army does to support individuals and families in need."
They do however need more volunteer bell ringers, especially for West Kelowna. If you are interested and have the time to give back at Christmas, give them a call 250-860-2329.
