Over a dozen employers from Okanagan restaurants, wineries, hotels and tourism groups are gathering at Okanagan College in Kelowna this Sunday.
The inaugural Tourism and Hospitality Career Fair is hosted by the Okanagan Chefs Association.
Chef Bernard Casavant, Director of the College's Culinary Arts program, says the event is open to job seekers from the public, as well.
"Obviously our first priority is our campus students," says Casavant "No matter what faculty they're in whether it's business or one of the trades or something, we want our students on campus to be employed this summer and from there it's valley wide."
Casavant says students who come through the college's Culinary Arts program have a phenomenal success rate finding work - he says those graduating are quickly snapped up by local employers.
The Tourism and Hospitality Career Fair goes Sunday, April 23rd from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm in the Atrium of the Centre for Learning (E building) at Okanagan College - 1000 KLO Road.
