Tourists to Kelowna have commented on how different Okanagan Lake looks because of the high water.
Sue Powell from Toronto says Rotary Beach has changed quite a bit from her last visit.
"I came here last summer to see my daughter and family and the beach was beautiful and it was way out there. On the weekend, we were walking and the water seemed to be back and the kids were picking up logs and sticks and the kids were making teepees on the sand. But this is a surprise today to see the water level higher."
Work crews have installed Gabion barriers along the entire length of Rotary Beach to keep water from eroding the shoreline.
"When I flew in last week, there was a huge area that was flooded. You could see dirty, muddy water. Even when it goes back it is going to leave a big mess behind it", Powell added.
