West Kelowna Fire crews were called to a home on Sussex Drive this morning to douse a fire in a travel trailer.
Captain Bob Peters says they arrived on the scene at around 11:00 am.
"There was heavy smoke and flame coming out the trailer," says Peters. "Crews pulled line and knocked the fire back quicky. The house that was next to the trailer was not being exposed to the flames, so it was safe.".
Peters says it appears the fire was electrical and is not suspicious. No-one was hurt.
He says a BC Hydro crew initially spotted the smoke, and when firefightes arrived, the homeowner was using a garden hose to try and douse the flames.
Peters says despite all of their efforts, the trailer suffered heavy damage.
