Environment Canada has issued Travel Advisories for the Connector (Highway 97C) and the Coquihalla (Highway 5) due to bursts of heavy snow coming down throughout Tuesday evening.
Travellers are advised to prepare for winter driving conditions, with increasing snow levels and poor visibility throughout these southern highway passes.
Environment Canada says conditions in the mountains can change suddenly, resulting in an increased risk of accidents.
Before you head out, it's also a good idea to check conditions at www.drivebc.ca.
