Kelowna International Airport is hosting the first-ever Accessibility Tour for families living with autism this Sunday. It's part of the I Can Fly program, an initiative created by the Canucks Autism Network and Vancouver International Airport in 2014.
The tour will take families through the entire pre-flight process, from getting a boarding pass, to security clearance, boarding a plane and even firing up the engines. Ryan Yao, Manager of Strategic Partnerships for the Canucks Autism Network points out, "For most of us traveling by air can be quite the stressful experience, so (it's) that much more for a family travelling with autism."
Families interested in participating in the I CAN Fly Accessibility Tour on November 19th can sign up HERE.
