Kelowna fire officials say a couple of kids are responsible for starting the Yates Road fire on Friday afternoon.
That fire grew to four hectares over steep and difficult terrain, and was contained with the help of roughly 30 firefighters along with provincial aircraft, including an airtanker and helicopters.
Officials say they spoke with two boys who admitted to playing with a lighter at the base of the mountain.
933 properties in the Wilden area were initially put on evacuation alert, which was rescinded as of late Sunday morning.
If anyone in the area is having to deal with fire retardant that was dropped on their home, you're asked to contact the BC Wildfire Service at 250-554-5532.
