Kelowna RCMP responded to a break and enter in progress Monday morning that sent a couple of suspects scurrying.
Just after 10:00 am, RCMP responded to a 9-1-1 call about a break-in, at a home in the 800 block of Wardlaw Avenue, where they found the back door had been forced open and personal property from the home had been placed in multiple bags.
Corporal Jesse O'Donaghey says a female suspect was arrested right away as she fled out the front door - and after setting up a perimeter around the neighbourhood - a police dog was brought in to track down a male suspect.
After his arrest - a search turned up a key to a stolen Jeep SUV, parked near the crime scene - and a search of the Jeep turned up more stolen property along with loaded firearms.
O'Donaghey says a 38-year-old man, and a 20-year-old woman, face several charges and they remain in custody.
