UBCO is getting a one million dollar boost in funding from the federal government.

“There’s a number of places people could go to do research and, you know, the fact that we have resources here to bring them, to attract them to come to Kelowna to do research in Kelowna at UBC Okanagan, is a good thing”
It total, just over $51 million was given to 39 different universities.
