With an increased demand for medical-grade personal protective equipment, UBC Okanagans School of Engineering are stepping up to help.
They are producing 3-D printed, medical-grade face shields for front-line health care workers.
They were brought into the project after being contacted by Kelowna resident Dallas Rodier, who's been keen in finding a printable solution to the mask shortage.
There are 15 printers ready to be deployed at UBCO to make the face shields for Interior Health front line workers.
