An evacuation order is now in effect for a dozen properties in Killiney Beach.
Officials say most of the homes on Westside Road North are vacation properties with no one currently living in them, and that only two people have been moved to a hotel.
The reason for the evacuation is because of the unstable slope, so people are being asked to avoid walking through that area.
Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure workers are doing draining work on site, after the landslide was caused by groundwater saturation.
A further update on the situation is expected this afternoon.
As well, downed power lines shut down a portion of Westside Road on Sunday, extending about 11 km north from Fintry.
Work is still being done in the area, with traffic currently reduced to single lane alternating.
