The Independent Investigations Office of BC has deployed investigators to the scene of an officer involved shooting in Kelowna.
IIOBC has confirmed via Twitter that they will arrive sometime this evening.
A kelowna bank is closed following what appears to be a major police incident.
Yellow police tape can be seen surrounding the perimeter of the CIBC outside the Orchard Park shopping centre.
Unconfirmed witness reports suggest shots may have been fired inside the bank.
A black Dodge Caliber with smashed windows can been seen in the parking lot outside.
