At approximately 4:37 PM Kelowna Fire Department Dispatch received numerous 911 calls reporting a vehicle on fire at a gas station located on the 1400 block of Hwy 33.
Arriving fire crews found, a fully engulfed in flames, holiday camper van. Flames where extending into the over head roof of the gas station.
The van was filling up with propane at the time of the incident.
The fire crews extinguished the flames and checked exposure’s for damage.
No ones was injured.
Hwy 33 was shut done temporarily in both directions for safety concerns.
The cause of the fire is not deemed suspicious.
Three Engines, a Command Unit, Rescue truck with 15 fire personnel were on scene along with RCMP and Emergency Support Services.
