Dog owners are being responsible when taking care of their four legged friends.
The Central Okanagan Regional District has received only four reports this year of vicious dog attacks on humans.
That's the same number at this time last year.
The most notable incident was back in June when an 8 year-old boy was mauled by a dog at Gyro Beach, requiring numerous stitches to mend the wounds on his face.
In all of 2018, just seven vicious dog attacks were recorded, down rom eight in 2017.
