Kelowna Pride Co-President Blake Edwards says there are no easy solutions to violence and discrimination against members of the L-G-B-T-Q community.
"The whole purpose of what Pride and what Pride is designed to create is unity. Unity within the community, a symbol of hope that we can move past discrimination and harrassment. And it's not just an L-G-B-T-Q plus community issue, it's discrimination against all minority groups."
Edwards says the solution lies in on-going education. He and Kelowna Pride work closely with schools in the Central Okanagan.
