A Water Quality Advisory is in effect for the District of Peachland.
District staff and local contractors are removing material deposited in the water intakes during the spring floods and it's expected this will increase turbidity.
As a result, the Trepanier Creek system has been deactivated in favor of the Okanagan Lake Pumps to minimize turbid water getting into the system.
While the risk to health is minimal, Interior Health recommends boiling water before drinking, washing fruits or vegetables or brushing teeth.
The advisory is in effect until further notice.
