The storm system that brought high winds to the Okanagan last night also dumped 5 to 7 cms of snow on Pennask Summit on the Connector.
Environment Canada's Matt MacDonald says flurries will linger on the mountain passes Wednesday, and that's why a Weather Alert remains in effect.
Highways affected include the Okanagan Connector, the Coquihalla, Highway 3 and the Trans-Canada from Eagle Pass to Rogers Pass.
MacDonald says starting Thursday, Kelowna will be into summer heat again.
"A high of 20 on Thursday, 25 on Friday, and then peaking in the low 30's by this weekend. The overnight lows will be pretty mild as well - only 12 or 13 degrees. The temperatures will be a solid 8 degrees above seasonal for this time of year," he says.
MacDonald, however, has a warning about the upcoming warm weather - it'll likely accelerate the upper elevation snowmelt causing more creek flooding and boosting lake levels.
