The long weekend will begin a little unsettled and then clear up before holiday Monday.
Meteorologist Matt Macdonald at Environment Canada says a weak disturbance is pushing across the BC Interior tonight into Saturday morning.
"We could see the odd snowflake on the Okanagan Connector, but once we get into Saturday afternoon, and particularily Sunday and Monday, we're into some really nice weather - sunny, totally dry and highs right near seasonal - about 14 degrees," he says.
Macdonald says if any flurries fly on the Connector on Friday night, it'll be at Pennask Summit, because the snow level is expected to drop to 1600 metres. Pennask Summit sits at around 1720. He doesn't expect much though, but there could be some accumulations.
Looking ahead to Tuesday through next Thursday, Macdonald says we'll return to seasonal weather - cloudy and cool with showers.
