The weekend dump of snow made for treacherous driving on the city streets and highways.
Kelowna RCMP say they were called to over 40 crashes throughout the Central Okanagan - luckily none involved serious injuries.
Corporal Jesse O'Donaghey says most of the injuries reported were non-life threatening - with the majority of damage to vehicles and property such as traffic standards, utility poles, electrical boxes, traffic signs, fences and trees.
He says there were also reports of up to six hit-and-run collisions.
O'Donaghey says RCMP want to remind motorists that failing to remain at the scene of a collision can result in charges under the Criminal Code or Motor Vehicle Act.
