With a heavy snowpack and wet weather in the forecast, West Kelowna has begun preparing for another potential flood in earnest.
The latest numbers from the province have measured the region’s snowpack at 131 percent of normal.
As of Tuesday, March 27th, Rotary Trails Park has been temporarily closed as a precaution, and is being outfitted with sandbags.
Additionally, any homeowners concerned about flooding in their areas are welcome to pick up sandbags at the following locations:
More sandbag pickup locations may be added depending on demand and future conditions.
