Thai Fusion Restaurant in West Kelowna has been the target of criminal activity once again, except this time the suspects used guns.
RCMP were called to the restaurant on Louie Drive at 5:00am Friday morning after a commercial glass break alarm was activated. When officers arrived at the scene, they noticed bullet holes in the protective metal window shutters at the front of the business. A similar discovery was made by employees on Sunday morning.
The restaurant has been the victim of a string of attacks throughout the last couple of years, including spray painted graffiti, smashed windows and even an arson attempt last October.
Police say the most recent incidents have taken place between the hours of 4:00am and 6:00am, so they're asking people in the area to be vigilent and report any suspicious activity. The West Kelowna RCMP General Investigations Section has been engaged to take lead on the file, and are being supported by the Kelowna RCMP Forensic Identifications Section, which spent time gathering evidence from the scene.
