West Kelowna Fire Rescue responded to an early morning fire at a house on Sageview Road on Thursday.
Shortly after 7 AM, 11 firefighters in three engines arrived to find the house unoccupied, and quickly extinguished the fire in the basement and garage, both of which sustained major damage.
One firefighter sustained minor injuries while battling the blaze.
The fire is still under investigation, and is not considered suspicious. Initial reports say it was electrical in nature.
