The salaries of both the West Kelowna mayor and City councilors may be getting a boost as soon as next year.
City Council will be discussing the possible raises just ahead of the election, and if approved, they could take effect on January 1st, 2019.
The mayor's current salary sits at just over $65.000 while councilors earn just over $22.000.
With the raises, both the mayor and councilors could receive a salary boost of approximately $6,000 each.
By the time they are approved, there may be a new mayor and council in place in West Kelowna.
