The mayor of West Kelowna is pleased with how his community is social distancing during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Gord Milsom says residence are being compliant, with friendly reminders from local bylaw enforcement officers.
"Our bylaw have made 311 proactive inspections since the start of February. That's including visiting restaurants, bars, wineries and grocery stores and visiting our parks and trails and I think that's been helpful in maintaining a healthy and safe community."
Milsom says people need to keep their bubbles small and wear masks when unable to maintain a two meter distance from others.
"If our residents see any inappropriate gathers, feel free to contact our bylaw and we will respond accordingly," Milsom added.
