On September 30th, 2020, officers from the West Kelowna RCMP Community Safety Unit (CSU) executed a search warrant at a property located in the 2000-block of Last Rd in West Kelowna. The warrant was related to an active criminal investigation into suspected drug trafficking.
“During their search of the property, police seized quantities of suspected illicit drugs from inside the residence,” states Cst. Solana Paré, Media Relations Officer for the Kelowna RCMP. “A variety of weapons including five firearms, ammunition, imitation firearms and a large amount of cash was also seized by police. Officers also seized a motorhome from the property in relation to proceeds of crime.”
A total of 5 individuals were taken into custody during the execution of the search warrant at the residence. A 50-year-old male from West Kelowna was later released to appear in court at a later date. The matter will be submitted to Public Prosecution Service of Canada for consideration of charges.
