Kal Tire in West Kelowna is offering meals for truck drivers.
A huge sign along Highway 97 tells drivers to pull up, head to the food truck, and chow down!
General Manager Brandon Kosik says they want to lend truckers a helping hand, "They've had issues even when they come here and stuff. They have an eight hour day and they come in to get their tires changed or tire repairs at the end of the day before they go home so they can start the next day and they want a meal, everything is closed. They can't go anywhere, so we're just trying to give them somewhere to eat. And it doesn't have to be customers or truckers who are coming in for service, they can come in and just get their meals and then head back out on the road."
Kosik says Gorman Brothers Lumber donated $3,000 to pay for the truckers meals.
