Redeyes to YYZ will begin flying in May

During a record year for passengers last year, the Kelowna International Airport credited increased connections to Eastern Canada as a big reason for the spike.

Today, WestJet has added to that list, and says it'll offer red-eye flights between Kelowna and Toronto starting in May.

The added flight will leave Kelowna at five-past midnight, and arrive in Toronto at about 7:15 in the morning.

The return flight leaves Toronto at 9:15, and gets back to Kelowna just before 11 am.

Between the launch on May 18 and the end of June, the added flights will run four times a week, on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday.

That'll increase to daily service from July to September, and drop down to three times per week for September and October.
