Westjet has announced dozens of flight additions for Vancouver
"We are thrilled that WestJet is enhancing its schedule and connectivity out of YVR this summer. The addition of more than 60 weekly flights provides passengers with even more flexibility when travelling to key destinations in Canada and Mexico," said Craig Richmond, President & CEO, Vancouver Airport Authority. "WestJet has been a long-time partner and this announcement further strengthens YVR's position as a hub, providing more non-stop travel options and convenient connections."
The additions affect YLW in Kelowna as well. 2 more flights every day to Vancouver, 2 more to Edmonton and 1 to Calgary. "You can think about it as triple-sevens to Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary on a daily basis," said Kelowna International Airport Director, Sam Samaddar.
Samaddar believes another announcement regarding expanded services will be coming in the next month, and, service will be expanded with a daily red-eye flight to Toronto, starting this June. That amounts to a total of over 1200 seats a day to T.O.
