The owner of Kelowna's Wild Kingdom, an adult store on Lawrence Avenue, says two employees - the victims of an armed robbery this week - are doing okay.
"I've given them the time they need off of work. There's absolutely no pressure on them to come back to the store and come and do shifts; we've got everything covered here so it's all fine," says Kim Williams
The women were tied up and placed in a bathroom on Monday by two masked men, one armed with a gun, who robbed the store of sex toys and cash.
Williams believes a woman, who came into the store on Sunday, may know something about the hold-up, so they've posted her image on Wild Kingdom's Facebook page.
"We are still actively looking for her, and we are asking the public to share the picture as much as possible, and please it's just questioning - she's just being questioned about things and we'd really like to speak with her," she says.
Kelowna RCMP Corporal Jesse O'Donaghey says "investigators are presently following up on various tip information, and are currently analysing video surveillance footage from the business, as well as surrounding properties. We have no images to release of the suspects at this time." He also says at this stage in the investigation, there is nothing to indicate that a woman is believed to be involved.
Williams says the robbery at her store is not a unique situation - she believes crime is on the rise in the Okanagan.
"Nobody wants to work a living and do an honest days' work for an honest days' pay anymore because there is work out there for people, but people just want to be scumbags and rip people off," says Williams.
