An evacuation alert for about 200 homes in Spallumcheen has been called off.
The alert was issued because of a wildfire near Swan Lake north of Vernon.
Emergency Operations officials say the fire, located on the hillside east of Highway 97A, is currently approximately 4.3 hectares in size.
Fire crews were on the scene throughout the night, and have created a machine guard around 98% of the fire, with wet lines around the entire perimeter.
The fire started Thursday afternoon at around 2:00 pm - there's no word yet on the cause.
