UPDATE - 2:00 PM
BC Wildfire Service crews battling the wildfire east of Oyama have used heavy equipment to remove any flammable sources and materials around 70 percent of the fire to prevent it from spreading.
The fire is still said to be at 7 hectares in size, and an exact cause has not been determined yet.
The Kamloops Fire Service says two smaller fires, one east of Vernon near Becker Lake, and another south of Trepanier Creek, have both been extinguished. Both had grown to a maximum size of 100 square meters, and were believed to have been human caused.
