It seemed like lightning was hitting everywhere Tuesday evening.
The BC Wildfire Service reports 13 new fires sprang up, in the Okanagan and Similkameen, because of thunderstorms.
In West Kelowna - three small fires sparked up - one south of Glenrosa above Turnbull Road - and two near Carrot Mountain above Smith Creek. No homes are being threatened.
Lightning also caused a couple of minor fires on Boucherie Mountain that were quickly put out.
East of Kelowna - there's a small fire south of Joe Rich in the McColloch Mountain area - and another near the Big White turnoff.
The biggest fire - near Dee Lake east of Oyama - is still about 7 hectares in size.
The BC Wildfire Service is throwing everything at these fires - ground crews, aircraft, and heavy equipment.
New fires were also started in Peachland, Summerland, Naramata and south of Penticton.
