Charges against a Kelowna woman who threatened former Premier Christy Clark and Kelowna area MLA Steve Thomson, have been stayed.
Pavla Janeckova was charged with two counts of uttering threats after she left voice mails at Clark's and Thomson's constituency offices during the provincial election campaign.
During a court appearance on Wednesday, the charges were stayed after Janeckova agreed to enter into a 1 year Peace Bond.
As part of the bond, she is not to go near the constituency offices or Thomson and his family.
The Special Prosecutor, appointed to the case, concluded that this resolution was not contrary to the public interest, and appropriate given Janeckova's personal circumstances.
In exchange for signing a peace bond, charges will be withdrawn and Janeckova won't be given a criminal record as long as she adheres to the conditions.
