RCMP say a woman who's body was discovered in an orchard off Cooper Road yesterday was the victim of a murder.
Police called out Wednesday morning at about 11:00am to an Orchard on Cooper between Springfield and Benvoulin.
RCMP say the woman is between 25 and 35 years of age. Homicide investigators have not said how she may have been killed but they she was not the victim of a random attack.
The victim's name has not been released pending positive identification notification of her family.
Anyone who may have witnessed anything in the area prior, or anyone with any information is asked to contact the Serious Crimes Unit of the Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300.

Kelowna RCMP are currently at an orchard on Cooper Road, after a body was discovered there this morning.
Corporal Jesse O'Donaghey says they were called to the scene shortly before 11:00am.
"The Kelowna RCMP have secured the scene and continue their investigation at this time," he says "RCMP are awaiting the arrival of the BC Coroner’s Service and have not yet confirmed a gender or an age of the deceased person."
O'Donaghey says the death is being treated as suspicious.
