A young boy received a visit from Penticton RCMP after making a series of phoney phone calls to emergency dispatchers last week.
Police say the 9-1-1 calls began last Tuesday just before 1:30 pm - a young boy reported the airport was being robbed, then called back to claim there was a fire, and finally that his mother had fallen and was hurt.
After nearly 40 minutes of prank calls, police tracked the 6-year-old down to the Penticton home of his grandfather who was unaware the boy was making the calls.
Police say officers had a long talk with the boy about the 9-1-1 emergency call system and the implications of making false reports.
