Just a day after investigating threats to a high school in Enderby, the Vernon North Okanagan RCMP is investigating a threats report that resulted in the closure a Vernon high school yesterday.
On Thursday, May 15th, 2025, at approximately 1:30 p.m., police received a report about a threat that had been made against a high school in the 2700-block of 41st Ave in Vernon. In response to this information, school administration initiated an evacuation of the building to ensure the safety of staff and students. Frontline officers attended the school to support the evacuation and conduct their investigation. It has since been determined there is no credible threat to the safety of the school and normal activities have since resumed.

These types of are taken very seriously and we are continuing to investigate the matter.
Police did not mention at this time if the threats are related to the ones which were made to the school in Enderby.
