Along with local fire crews, the BC Wildfire Service has 80 firefighters working on the ground to try and contain the Philpott Road Wildfire.
Information Officer Noelle Kekula says the priority today is to establish a guard along the fire's northern edge.
"And do some burnout operations between the control line and the perimeter of the fire to try and increase some containment. We do have fixed wing support this morning (Monday) and helicopters are actioning it as we speak," she says.
She says guards were established on the eastern and western edges of the fire over the weekend.
At last report - the Philpott Road wildfire covers 465 hectares and is 20% contained.
