A woman involved in a sex-show-turned-armed-robbery was sentenced to six years in prison on Tuesday, May 1st.
25-year-old Heather Nystrom, along with 52-year-old Cal Little, entered a man’s apartment on July 14th, 2016, after being hired to perform a live sex show.
Moments later, they robbed the man at gunpoint, fleeing the apartment with $400 dollars, as well as the victim’s cell phone.
Both were arrested a day later on charges of armed robbery and possession of a restricted firearm, namely a sawed-off shotgun.
While appearing via video conference at Tuesday’s sentencing hearing, Nystrom fought back tears as Judge Jane Cartwright recounted Nystrom’s troubled history of family abuse and drug addiction.
Nystrom’s total sentence, factoring in credit for time served, amounts to 4 years and 8 months.
She was also given a lifetime ban on firearms, and is to have no contact with either Cal Little or the victim of the robbery.
Little is expected to be sentenced next month.
The identity of the victim is protected under a publication ban.
