Kelowna RCMP are asking for help in finding a man who attacked a cab driver downtown last Monday night.
Just after 8:30, police responded to the scene near Lawrence and Richter, and found that the driver had been choked, punched, and threatened with used needles.
He then grabbed the driver's cell phone, and ran out of the car.
The attack came after the driver asked the man to pay a cab fare that was close to 50 dollars.
The driver said he'd picked up the man at Harvey and Richter, and then taken him up to Rutland, before driving him back into the downtown core.
The attacker is described as a Native man of slim build, who's about 5’7", and was wearing a hooded beige jacket, jeans and a blue baseball cap.
